Race 25 – Position 6
Mostert began Race 25 in P10, after struggling against the #55 Car in the Qualifying session.
Mostert had a trying start to the Race, when the Safety Car arose and he lost position in the Pit Lane madness, dropping into P13.
The Supercheap Auto Driver rejoined the field in P8 following his final stop, and then made his way into P6 just before the Race conclusion.
Race 26 – Position 15
Qualifying in P7, Mostert had a great start to the race before he was served a pit-lane penalty for crossing the yellow line at pit exit.
Mostert rejoined in P20 and spent the majority of the Race hunting for more places, but was only able to reach P15 while struggling with the pace of Car 55.
Mostert’s results over the finale weekend meant he finished 5th Overall in the Supercars Championship, a result he and the team were both exceptionally pleased with.
“TOUGH WEEKEND FOR US, WE STRUGGLED WITH PACE MOSTLY. IN THE RACE WE MADE SOME GAINS BUT SILLY ME MADE A MISTAKE AND GOT A DRIVE THROUGH AND PUT US BACK IN THE PACK. WAS RACING FOR SHEEP STATIONS AND TURNED SIMONA BY ACCIDENT BUT WENT DOWN AND APOLOGISED, OVERALL NOT A GREAT WEEKEND BUT WE CAN KEEP OUR HEAD HIGH WITH 5TH IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP!”
